Overview

Corsair is seeking a Firmware Manager to lead and mentor an audio firmware team and own audio firmware architecture and technical direction for gaming peripheral products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor an audio firmware team including task planning, technical guidance, and performance management
  • Own audio firmware architecture and technical direction for gaming peripheral products
  • Oversee development of audio protocols (USB, Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless), DSP control, codecs, and latency optimization
  • Collaborate with hardware and acoustic teams on bring-up, tuning, and validation of audio systems
  • Drive firmware quality through code reviews, debugging, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Track and report development progress to the project manager and product team members
  • Generate FRD, test protocols, and related documentation
  • Coordinate with the Validation team on test strategies, validation criteria, and issue triage
  • Ensure on-time delivery aligned with NPI schedules and milestone commitments
  • Communicate technical status, risks, and trade-offs to cross-functional and executive stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of embedded firmware development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role
  • Strong background in audio firmware for consumer or gaming devices (USB Audio, Bluetooth Audio, wireless audio systems)
  • Experience with MCUs, SoCs, RTOS, DSPs, and low-level driver development
  • Solid understanding of audio concepts including sampling, latency, synchronization, echo cancellation, and noise processing
  • Proven ability to manage multi-project priorities in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment
  • English communication skills for collaboration with global teams and partners

Preferred

  • Experience in the gaming peripheral industry
  • Experience with CI/CD for embedded systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Familiarity with power profiling tools and energy-aware design
