Overview

Keysight is seeking a Firmware and FPGA Engineer to develop firmware and FPGA solutions for advanced electronic test and measurement instruments including spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop firmware and FPGA solutions for advanced electronic test and measurement instruments
  • Contribute to design and implementation of embedded software, DSP functions, high-speed data processing, hardware control, and FPGA-based solutions
  • Support system integration, debugging, and verification throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize system performance, and contribute to product qualification and manufacturing readiness

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in firmware, FPGA, embedded software, or digital system development
  • Experience in one or more of: embedded firmware development using C or C++, FPGA design using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL, digital signal processing (DSP), or high-speed digital interfaces
  • Experience with system integration, debugging, and verification
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese

Preferred

  • Experience developing electronic test and measurement instruments
  • Experience with AMD or Xilinx FPGA devices and development tools
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools
  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, JESD204, DDR, SerDes)
  • Experience implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA, firmware, or software
  • Experience leading technical projects or engineering teams
  • Working proficiency in English
