Overview

Keysight is seeking an R&D Engineer 3 to develop embedded software components and instrumentation-level functionality that interface with FPGA, RF, and other hardware subsystems for quantum control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded software components and instrumentation-level functionality interfacing with FPGA, RF, and other hardware subsystems
  • Optimize software for real-time operation focusing on latency, throughput, and reliability in precision measurement environments
  • Perform system bring-up, debugging, and validation in laboratory settings
  • Contribute to the design of scalable and maintainable software architectures for next-generation platforms
  • Collaborate with hardware and system engineers to ensure cohesive system behavior and performance

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Business-level Japanese language proficiency
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Experience with hardware and software integration and debugging
  • Knowledge of real-time systems, device drivers, or low-level programming

Preferred

  • Experience with instrumentation or measurement systems
  • Familiarity with FPGA interaction (register interface, drivers)
