Overview

Qualcomm is seeking a Sensors Systems Engineer to develop state-of-the-art algorithms for single and multi-sensor fusion using DSP and ML/AI techniques. This role spans the full product life cycle from early R&D to commercial deployment across smartphones, automotive, IoT, and wearable platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop state-of-the-art algorithms for single and multi-sensor fusion using DSP and ML/AI techniques with MATLAB and Python
  • Balance between performance, power consumption, and computational complexity
  • Create reports on algorithm evaluation, validation, benchmarking, and deliver complete design and user documentation
  • Work with global development and test teams
  • Code the solutions in C/C++ for software implementation on Qualcomm platforms
  • Develop fixed-point design of the algorithms for hardware implementation
  • Participate in a broad range of sensors systems engineering activities within the Sensors Technologies group

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience
  • OR Master’s degree in the above fields with 1+ year of Systems Engineering experience
  • Experience with digital signal processing, adaptive filters, Kalman filters, linear algebra, probability, and statistics
  • Machine learning concepts including supervised and unsupervised learning, feature extraction, classification, and regression
  • Experience in DSP- and ML-based sensor fusion using accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer data
  • Hands-on experience with algorithm implementation in software and hardware with debugging
  • Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills
