Senior Software Engineer — PARCS Radar
Overview
SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the US Space Force in sustaining and developing software for the PARCS ground-based radar system critical to strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions.
Responsibilities
- Code development and code deployment for software version releases modifying the software baseline of the PARCS ground-based radar.
- Design, develop, document, test and debug application software.
- Conduct analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.
- Support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex systems.
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Participate in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining operational and test systems.
Requirements
- Bachelors and 5+ years’ relevant experience.
- Must have an active Secret security clearance.
- Experience developing software with C/C++, Java, Python and FORTRAN.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with real-time embedded software for ground-based radar.
