Senior Software Systems Engineer
Overview
SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for defense and electronic warfare systems supporting the US Navy in Crane, IN.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for defense and electronic warfare systems within the SPIN/MUEU lab environment.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient C++ code following object-oriented design principles and best practices.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including software design documents (SDD), interface control documents (ICD), test plans, procedures and perform code reviews.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex hardware/software integration issues in a lab setting.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and government customers to define and refine software requirements.
- Support software configuration management and version control processes.
- Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), and program milestone events.
- Ensure compliance with applicable coding standards, safety requirements, and DoD software development guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years’ experience.
- Experience with Embedded Systems, C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Interim secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance; SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen.
