Software Engineer — Lakehurst
Overview
SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer to join the team in Lakehurst, NJ, supporting embedded systems development, software configuration management, and CI/CD pipeline operations across multiple technical disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software using Java, C, and C++ for defense systems with VxWorks and Linux platforms.
- Perform C# development, unit testing, and Agile software engineering.
- Configure and manage Windows and Linux operating systems in government lab environments.
- Support Software Configuration Management processes related to software releases, SW/HW lab environments, and documentation.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Develop automated testing and associated software documentation.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD practices into the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- C, C++, C# or .NET experience.
- Agile Development experience with familiarity in Scrum.
- Linux proficiency (Red Hat preferred).
- Technical self-sufficiency: ability to work independently.
- Interim Secret Clearance to begin work.
