Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer — Network Products (Kyiv)
Overview
Ubiquiti is seeking an Embedded Software and Firmware Engineer to deliver new Unifi switch products, working with hardware teams from BSP level up to networking software application level.

Responsibilities
- Deliver new upcoming Unifi switch products
- Work with hardware team from BSP level up to networking software application level
- Communicate with international customers to implement desired new features and bug fixes
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of software development experience
- Detailed knowledge of Linux operating system internals
- Strong C and C++ skills with Bash and debugging experience on embedded systems
- Strong networking knowledge
- Experience in gateway features development — VPN, firewall, IPv6, QoS, security, routing
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Preferred
- Knowledge of Buildroot or LFS
- Knowledge of NOS technology (ONL, SnapRoute, Cumulus Network, OpenSwitch)
- Experience with Quagga or FRR
- Understanding of dataplane processing and performance enhancement
- Knowledge of Broadcom, Arista, or Barefoot switch frameworks
- Experience with data center switch development
- Experience with BSP and Linux device driver development
