Hardware Engineer Manager — Embedded System
Overview
Ubiquiti is seeking a Hardware Engineer Manager to lead the design and development of embedded hardware platforms for network-connected devices, working closely with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Lead hardware architecture and design for embedded systems
- Define system specifications, component selection, and PCB design
- Collaborate with firmware teams on hardware-software integration
- Work with mechanical and manufacturing teams to ensure design quality and manufacturability
- Drive board bring-up, debugging, validation, and system integration
- Support production ramp and resolve hardware issues when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in hardware development for embedded systems
- Strong experience in digital circuit design and system-level hardware architecture
- Hands-on experience with schematic design, PCB development, and hardware debugging
- Experience working with firmware teams on system integration
- Strong problem-solving skills and communication ability
- MP experience with mobile, tablet, or AP products
- Familiarity with Linux and Android OS
- Familiarity with network configuration
- Aggressive, open-minded, and positive attitude
