Overview

Ubiquiti is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer to develop cutting edge wireless broadband products and technologies as part of a global team of firmware, digital hardware, and RF hardware engineers.

Please note that the work mode is hybrid and the candidate needs to be in Kyiv (or consider relocation) — confirm specifics with the recruiter.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a global team of firmware, digital hardware, and RF hardware engineers to develop cutting edge wireless broadband products and technologies
  • Apply knowledge of embedded Linux processes and digital wireless communications to product development

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of embedded firmware development experience with C, C++ on Linux or Unix platforms
  • Experience with ARM or MIPS processors and embedded Linux
  • Wireless protocols (802.11)
  • Networking skills and OSI model understanding
  • Ability to adapt and quickly pick up new technologies
  • Ability to work productively and autonomously on a small team or solo
  • Experience with all phases of the software development life-cycle
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Git including merging and rebasing
  • Experience with bash shell scripting or Python
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills (English mandatory)
  • Must be in Kyiv or willing to relocate

Preferred

  • Experience working with cross compilers
  • Experience with OpenWRT
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits
